  9. Thanks all !

    @sameer : any recommendations for the tyres ? They seemed good enough to me, and with hardly any road around where you can go above 100, I don't think other tyres are really needed.

    @ritesh : congrats on the 220 ! Hope to get reviews from you soon.

    @nav : I already have a 220 ( ZMA ) so nothing new for me in terms of bikes. With the bike manufacturers mostly looking at the 100-150cc category, does not look like there is going to be a good bike out on the road soon. So, makes more sense to get a car right now.

    @vishal : diesel : Rs 33/ltr, mileage 15kmpl. Petrol : Rs 49/ ltr, mileage 10kmpl. Disel makes more sense anyday ! Also, no-one has developed a solar car which can run when its needed most - when it rains. So, my daily ride is still going to be a bike, with the car for other occasions like rainy days where you have to be in office without being soaking wet :-D .

    @rearset : Lolz ! Start of carnomads eh ;)

  10. Great buy, Vibhu! I hope you've gone the whole hog and bought the one with ABS. I test drove the Verna CRDi and was absolutely *floored*. The engine is miles ahead of any diesel I've driven and it's so rev-happy that I redlined it gears 1, 2 and 3 on the Inner Ring Road before running into traffic. Redlining a diesel without feeling it crying for mercy is something I've never encountered before :D.

    Sadly, the car doesn't feature the kind of interior space that the Indigo has. But no matter. My Dad needs the space the Indigo offers, but not the kind of power the Verna delivers :).

    Also, be careful with the steering. It's too darned light. The showroom guy told me it's speed-sensitive but I didn't find it so. What do you think?
